Approaching nearly 40, and yes I know either I already look it, or have looked like it for the past 10 years, I was beginning to wonder if im now officially in the older generation and still in touch with the 'yoof' of today and their media consumption and habits! … well the good news is that my daughter over xmas thanked me for her new mp3 player and asked me to set it up on the pc at home, something I managed without having to read the manual, and then she asked me to install the latest msn messenger updates and then asked me if id heard of second life!! ..at this point I said I had but didn’t think it was a good idea for either of us to go any further..I then asked her if she has read any blogs to which I got a blanked expression…at this point I should explain she is 8..however when I explained what a blog is, and thankfully for her I didnt ask her to attend a workshop, she then showed me a present that santa had bought her which is an audio diary recorder of sorts, in essence an electronic 'secrets' password voice recognition electronic pink diary which you record your own diary entries in to…aha I thought a blog for her ears only!!
